Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Forces Examination, 2026
The Staff Selection Commission will hold an Open
Competitive Examination for recruitment of Sub-Inspectors in Delhi Police and Central
Armed Police Forces (CAPFs). Departmental candidates amongst Constables, Head
Constables and Assistant Sub-Inspectors of Delhi Police with minimum three years service
and who shall not be more than 30 years (33 years for OBC and 35 years for SC/ST) of
age as on crucial date given at Para 5.1 may also apply for filling up of Open Vacancies of
Sub- Inspector (Executive) in Delhi Police-Male:-

Age limit for all posts except SI(FIRE) in CISF is 20-25 years; i.e. Candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.08.2001
and not later than 01.08.2006 to be eligible to apply. Age limit for SI(FIRE) in CISF is 18-30 years; i.e. Candidate must have been born not earlier
than 02.08.1996 and not later than 01.08.2008 to be eligible to apply. Age relaxation is applicable in several categories according to rule of govt.

Salary & Allowances
Sub-Inspector (GD) in CAPFs: The post carries pay scale of Level-6 (Rs.35,400-
Rs.1,12,400/-) and is classified as Group "B" (Non-Gazetted), Non-Ministerial.
Sub-Inspector (Executive) - (Male/Female) in Delhi Police: The post carries
pay scale of Level-6 (Rs.35,400-Rs.1,12,400/-) and is classified as Group "C" by Delhi Police.
Sub-Inspector (FIRE)- (Male) in CISF: The post carries pay scale of Level-6 (Rs. 35,400-
Rs.1,12,400/-) and is classified as Group "B" (Non-Gazetted), Non-Ministerial.

Mode of Application
| All the candidates who wish to apply in response to this Notice are required to
complete their One-Time Registration (OTR) on the website of the Commission
(https://ssc.gov.in). The OTR generated on the old website (https://ssc.nic.in ) will
not be functional for the new website. Subsequent to OTR, the candidates can
proceed to fill in the Online Application Form for the Examination. Once an OTR
has been generated on the new website (https://ssc.gov.in), it will continue to
remain valid for all the examinations to be applied for on the new website. The
detailed instructions for OTR are given in Annexure-I to this Examination Notice. |

Selection Process
| The examination will consist of Paper-I, Physical Standard Test (PST)/Physical
Endurance Test (PET), Paper-II and Detailed Medical Examination (DME). All
these stages of the examination are mandatory.
